San Fran, Frisco, The Bay, and everything in between

I've been telling myself for a while now that i am going to be better at blogging. The other day I was reading some old posts and thinking how grateful I am and how wonderful my life is. As hard as it is to be positive in this world sometimes... I really wouldn't have my life be any other way. Here is a little tid bit of what we have been up to lately:

  • Jared as been offered and has excepted a fellowship in San Francisco starting in May. San Fran is the home of trolleys, the golden gate bridge (and warriors), Alcatraz, and Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky. We are SO excited to be moving to one of the greatest cities in the United States. Jared will begin working with Dignity Health and we seriously cannot believe our dream of living in California is coming true. This was both of our top picks when applying and Jared beat out 300 other candidates to get the job! What a guy!

  • We had a great Christmas in AZ celebrating with our family and friends. We also got to see McKay after he has been serving and LDS mission in Brazil for 2 years. What a good kid he is. We spent our week in sandals and really did not want to come back to the cold weather. We took one too many selfies and miss all of our siblings so much!

  • Jared started his last semester of school and is still working with his professor as a teachers assistant. He also got recruited by Brown University and currently working for them as well. We also celebrated Jared's 26th birthday with pie and ice cream. We had 6 different pies.... Chocolate Mousse, Banana Cream, Coconut Cream, Peach Custard, Cherry Pie, and Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie. They were hard to make but I am so proud to say that I made them all and not one part of it was store bought... even the crust!

Since I kind of think my husband is the greatest person in the world...here are some facts about Jared. Jared's birthday is February 8th, so here are 8 random fun facts about him:

  1. Jared has a man crush. And it is no secret either. James Thomas "Jimmy" Fallon is an American television host, comedian, actor, singer, writer, and producer. He currently hosts The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, a late-night talk show that airs on NBC.---- thank you WIKIPIDEA. If Jared could he would buy tickets to every single one of his shows.
  2. Jared is so sad football is over because that means our Sunday's consist of watching my shows or anything besides golf. Simply because in Jared's mind, Golf is the worst sport to watch.
  3. Jared has a pet bonsai tree named Ren. And trust me when I tell you... Jared loves Ren. He takes such good care of it and even spent $40 on different plates for Ren to live in.
  4. Jared is MUCH hotter then Harvey Spector, Mike Ross, and especially Louis Litt. Also, Suits is probably Jared's favorite show. EVER.
  5. If Jared has his way, he would most definitely not be driving the rocket. Instead he would probably be driving a Maserati,  Lamborghini, or any other type of luxury car. Jared loves cars and knows so many things about them, including every detail you could ever think of.
  6.  I always ask Jared to wear pajamas or basketball shorts, and he HATES them. He would so much rather be in his jeans and tennis shoes then basketball shorts and slippers. I don't get it.
  7. Jared doesn't like most foods that the every day American likes. We grew up so different. I grew up eating any frozen food you could buy at Costco. Jared on the other hand hadn't even been to Costco until we were dating. He would be totally happy not eating frozen pizza, Doritos, candy, and all the good stuff. He would rather eat nuts, berries, and any homemade dish. It has been a stretch trying to get him to buy frozen pizza, corn dogs, or store bought pasta sauce  :) but let's be honest.... we are getting there. He still won't eat corn dogs or pizza rolls...
  8. Jared is my rock. He is my biggest supporter and number one fan. He is the only person who can make me laugh when i cry, and sees the best in everyone around him. Jared loves everyone. And never talks bad about anyone. He makes me want to be better every single day.

Williams Update!

Oh hi. It's me. Major neglect on the blog lately, but my dear husband has been dropping hints for a while now so i figured while he is sleeping and I put off making sunday dinner I would do a quick update. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you've probably seen all these pictures. But in case you hate technology or just want a back story.... this is for you!

We are doing really well and absolutely LOVING our last year here in Spokane. We have been so blessed and really are so grateful, but more of that to come later! We have been busy soaking in all of the things we want to do before we move and creating lasting memories and friendships.

I started my job as a manager and stylist at Supercuts. As dramatic and crazy as the girls are, I really have enjoyed being able to do hair and grow as a stylist. I feel like I have learned so much and still have so far to go! One day I will have a salon in my home, but for now, I will put up with sassy clients who kind of suck at tipping. that's my vent for the night!

Jared is in his second year at WSU and going strong! He works as a TA for the accounting and finance class as well as continues to get straight A'S. IN GRAD SCHOOL! did i marry a genius? yes, yes i did. We still love to cheer for the cougs although they are really not good.

Our favorite tradition in the fall is to go to the corn maze, get hot chocolate, and carve pumpkins! This year we were able to hang out with some of our best friends, the Schmidts and I don't know  what we are going to do without them next year! We love them... and their kids. Perfection!

We also were able to get some family pictures done.
Isn't fall just beautiful?

We celebrated our "friendsgiving" this year with our amazing friends Lance and Leeya! these two make us laugh so hard and have been amazing friends to both jared and i. it really is great to find friends that both husbands and wives get along so well. We ate a ton of food and of course went shopping.... because any deal is a good deal :)

I also celebrated my 23 birthday and felt so loved by so many!
Dinner consisted of Cafe Rio and then the Hunger Games!
Jared spoiled me rotten this year, and i was given sweet gifts from my family and these friends right here! Seriously, I am the luckiest girl alive!

Have I mentioned how baby hungry I am?
(here's to hoping jared reads this)  :)

We also went to our ward christmas party and won the competition for best dressed couple! Jared picked our outfits out from goodwill and insisted we match! Turns out I should listen to him more!

And the biggest news in our family:
Jared accepted a fellowship with Dignity Health in San Francisco. We are so excited for this next big adventure in our lives! We are so happy and relieved to know we have a plan after graduation and I can't even begin to describe how excited and proud I am of Jared. Not only did he fulfill my lifelong dream of living in California, BUT he also beat out over 300 candidates who applied for the same job! It really is a big deal and such a huge accomplishment.

Jared and I have been so blessed this year and can't wait to see what next year has in store for us. We have absolutely loved being here in Spokane and while we are sad to see it come to an end, we are so excited to continue on our adventure and see what heavenly father has in store for us. We are so excited for this holiday season and can't wait to see family and friends in Arizona.

With Love,

Jared and Reagan

Year 1 DONE!

WE FINISHED! (well i should say HE finished!)
Year one of Jared's Masters program is done!
Crazy to think how that just happened.
I can honestly say this year flew by! We had so much fun in Spokane and really are so glad we took the step to move. Jared and I never thought we would be those people who say "You should definitely move it will be the best thing for your marriage!" but honestly, it is so true! We have grown so much more as a couple and have met some of the greatest people on this earth! We love our friends and everyday we are here for the summer we miss it! Jared did a great job this year and was accepted for the job position of TA next year with his professor. I finished up working at the Y and can't wait to hopefully get in a salon when i get back!

We really love girls nights and parties!

These girls are wonderful! I miss every one of them and am so sad they are gone!

One last HURRAH at Red Robin. Sad to say goodbye to so many of these wonderful girls but excited to see what year two brings!
Our famous lip sync off. if you haven't seen the video.... consider yourself lucky :)

Jared was accepted to do an amazing internship with St. Josephs hospital in Phoenix for the summer, which meant coming back to see family! He is working in the Cardiovascular department doing business planning for new service lines. Basically..... it's intense. He normally works monday through friday all day which is great since I am coaching at Kino Pool again. This year I have over 300 swimmers and 5 coaches to train. So to say it keeps me busy is an understatement!

We are loving being with family and friends and enjoying the sunshine and being tan! :)

3 month update!

We are loving everything about Spokane. This past year has really flown by.... I can't believe we are halfway done with graduate school! Jared has been working his butt off with school and applying to internships for this summer and I can definitely say that prayers have been answered!

Back in December we were told we needed a summer internship somewhere. We instantly thought about how fun it would be if we went to Arizona and spent the summer there with family and friends. Ideal right? Jared got in contact with a family friend and started working on it right away. 4 months later, after many emails and phone calls and a nagging wife (my bad), Jared was accepted for a summer internship at St. Josephs hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. We leave in 2 weeks and are so excited to be back in the sunshine and spend the summer with family!

I finished up my last week at the YMCA and have really enjoyed my time there. I have the opportunity to teach my water aerobics classes when I get back and am planning on doing that (free membership yeah!) and find another job as well. Jared has a job interview this week for a teaching assistant with 2 of his professors at the school this week! This would not only look great on his resume.... but let's be honest, Jared would ROCK it! We are so nervous and excited for him and hope he gets it!

We have met some of the greatest people here and really have friends that are our new family! We have had the best year and really hope the next one is just as great! The weather here is beautiful and most days are sunny and warm! Spring in the northwest: nothing better!

the warm weather finally came after a long winter... we were SO excited!

one of our many girls nights.... blind fold lip synch off!

we are really good at taking pictures

just a few of my best friends!
happy birthday Angela!

after a long day of shopping and errands....

Happy Easter!

Quarter of a century

On February 8, 1989 my best friend and husband was born.
Unfortunately for me, I didn't meet him till 23 years later, but I am so glad I did.

Let me tell you 25 fun and random things about Jared:
1. He is really the funniest person I have ever met. and he agrees. just ask him
2. He is always willing to help me with dinner or treats or anything i make.
3. When I first met Jared, I thought he was a foodie. Meaning he liked strange and not every day foods (this coming from the girl who loves mac and cheese and frozen pizza rolls). Now I can honestly say I have become one of "them"
4. Jared is awesome at rock climbing. He will never admit how good he really is.... but trust me. he is.
5. Jared spends at least 6 hours a day doing homework. He is so into school and loves learning.
gross.
6. Jared served a full time mission to New Hampshire and loved it.
7. Part of his mission was in Maine and yesterday we spend a good hour watching a documentary on the baby seals there..... ;)
8. On our first date, Jared told me about the perfect white shirt. To this day, every white shirt I pick up for him is not right. One day I will find it.
9. Jared loves this blog sometimes more than I do. He should update I think.... not me
10. He has taught me the only way to buy things.... online. I hate buying things online.... and he will always look on Amazon before we buy something in the store to make sure we are getting the best deal possible.
11. With that being said, Jared is way better at money decisions than I am. I am really good at spending our money.
12.  His favorite snack in the whole world is chips and salsa. With that being said, Jared has a favorite type of tortilla chips. Santitas. Found at most grocery stores. For under $2.
13. Jared willingly wakes up with me every morning and packs my lunch while i get ready. Sometimes he feels like a puppy dog because he just follows me around, but secretly it is my favorite time of my day.
14. You will never meet anyone with weirder dreams than Jared. Crocodiles selling lottery tickets, car accidents with Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl, and even boiling water in the car to make mac and cheese.
15. If Jared had his way, he would never eat cereal for breakfast. Unfortunately cereal is my favorite breakfast item in the world.
16. Jared "beat" me one time in a swimming race. It didn't really count. I will win the next time... except he never wants to race again :)
17. Ask Jared about any car, engine type, model, tire, etc about a car and he will know it. And all it's specs. I try to learn and most days just nod my head and smile.
18. He makes THE strangest and funniest faces ever. remember when i said he was funny? yeah.
19. Get Jared going on a topic and he will win that battle. Every Time.
20. He really hates that he drives the rocket and looks forward to the day of graduation which for him hopefully means a new car.
21. Jared is in the nursery and even if he wont admit it... he loves it. The kids love him and he is so good with them.
22. Jared makes fun of just about every country song.... that twang kills him. fortunately for him, I love country so he has been getting lots of practice.
23. Jared was raised by 2 of the greatest people I have ever met. Seriously if you don't know Randy and Frances Williams.... you're missing out. They are two of the kindest, loving, and selfless people I have ever met. They are always putting their family first and are so excited for every little achievement in their kids lives. I adore both of them and am so glad Jared shares so many of their qualities.
24. Need someone to fix your computer, phone, home ANYTHING? Call Jared. Even if you don't want him to fix it, if you tell him about a project, he gets so excited he researches all the best ways and products to use. With that being said, Jared lOVES crafting. or doing my craft projects for that matter.
25. The Bachelor. His new fav. show. okay not really but he does watch it and gets into it :)

Happy birthday to the man who is all of these and so many more! I love you so much Jared Williams.

now here are some pics from his birthday:

Birthday waffles on his special red plate!

Before school started back up, we went with some friends to the WSU basketball game.
The school got free tickets and it was so fun.
I got 2 blurry pictures with my phone..... (i need to get better at this photography thing)

Liz and I were obviously so excited.

Kimmie and I (with our husbands and friends) went on a group date to the movies.
I laughed harder than i thought i would! :)

My other hot date! :)

We then planned and hosted a baby shower for our cute friend Sarah!

Chicken Salad Sandwiches, pasta salad, green salad, mint muddy buddies and Lemony dream cupcakes :) How could you NOT want to come?

Year 1 Part 1

As many of you know, my husband is enrolled in the Masters of Health Policy Administration program at Washington State University in Spokane. I am so proud of him and his many MANY accomplishments. Between school, work, church, and friends, we have definitely had a busy 4 months.
As I thought about how to describe and showcase our 1st semester..... there were too many pictures and stories to tell. So, I settled for a video.

Year 1 Part 1
